Western State College of Law seeks an experienced estates/probate attorney for an adjunct professor position overseeing the Probate Clinic. This four-credit course consists of a weekly seminar in addition to weekly field work in Orange County Probate Court. The class is capped at 8 students. The stipend for the semester is $6,000. Matters include:
- Trust matters, including validity of trusts and trust amendments, as well as allegations of breach of fiduciary duties, undue influence, and financial elder abuse.
- Decedent Estate matters, such as the validity or invalidity of wills and intestate successions.
- Guardianship of minors.
- Conservatorship matters, both general and limited.
- Requests for temporary restraining orders relating to allegations of elder abuse.
