The Office of the Campus Counsel (OCC) serves as the in-house legal office for UCLA, including its professional schools. OCC attorneys provide counsel and legal advice to university leaders while also serving as a liaison between UCLA, the Office of the General Counsel for the University of California in Oakland, and outside counsel engaged on behalf of the University.

●          Position Summary

The Principal Campus Counsel provides advice and counsel on complex legal matters in labor and employment law including matters of access, constitutional rights, immigration, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, disability, accommodation and policy and procedure review. The Principal Campus Counsel works closely with leadership and management across UCLA's clinical enterprise. That enterprise includes, but is not limited to, multiple hospitals and healthcare clinics providing services and located throughout Southern California. The position is located at the UCLA campus in Westwood, CA.

Required Education, Licenses, and Certifications

●          Juris Doctor (JD) Degree from an ABA accredited institution and active membership in good standing of the State Bar of California (or eligible for immediate membership).

●          Must be a member in good standing of the California Bar (or eligible for immediate membership).

●          Anticipated Hiring Range: $245,000 - $265,000 annually

●          Full Salary Range: $171,000 - $345,000 annually
