Western State College of Law is seeking an Adjunct Professor to teach a practice-oriented Mediation course in the Spring 2019 semester.

The Mediation course is designed to teach students the skills and techniques used in mediation of legal disputes in multiple areas of law, including Family Law and Business Law. Students participate in simulated hypothetical situations in order to develop and practice these skills. They also will develop skills in client counseling, facilitation, and problem solving.

The course is a two-unit course, which meets on Wednesday evenings for ten weekly three-hour sessions. The course will run from Feb. 13 through April 24, 2019, with no class on March 6 (spring break).

Ideal candidates will be Certified Mediators with an active mediation practice, and with experience or a strong interest in training future attorneys. Please contact Associate Dean Susan Keller at skeller@wsulaw.edu or 714-459-1141.
